Overview

BortoCall builds sovereign, highly secure enterprise communication infrastructure. We help public and private organizations control their exchanges through end-to-end encrypted messaging and video conferencing on their own servers. To develop and optimize our native Android apps for security, real-time communication, and media flows, we are looking for a Senior Mobile Developer (Kotlin). Reporting to the Core Engineering team, you will protect the quality, privacy, and performance of a critical Android app used daily by professionals.

What you will do

  • Native Android development: design, architect, and build complex Kotlin features using Clean Architecture and MVVM/MVI principles.
  • Real-time & media integration: implement and optimize WebSockets, WebRTC, and SIP/VoIP protocols for smooth calls and responsive messaging.
  • Security & encryption: apply rigorous mobile security standards, including end-to-end encryption, secure local storage, and network flow protection.
  • Performance & optimization: improve battery, memory, and bandwidth usage, and keep the app reliable in the background.
  • Code quality & CI/CD: write automated unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockk, and support continuous deployment pipelines for Android.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of native Android development experience, with advanced Kotlin proficiency.
  • Excellent command of Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow.
  • Proven experience integrating audio, video, and real-time technologies such as WebRTC, WebSockets, and VoIP libraries.
  • Strong command of Android Jetpack components, including Jetpack Compose, Room, Hilt, and Navigation.
  • Solid knowledge of mobile security and encryption protocols.
  • Understanding of microservice architectures and REST / gRPC API consumption.
  • Scientific and technical rigor, attention to detail, autonomy, confidentiality awareness, and teamwork.
  • Fluency in French and technical English. Arabic is a plus.
