We are looking for a UX Engineer or DX Designer who loves building high-performance developer tools and interfaces. You will own the interaction design and user experience for engineers building with Eden AI, transforming complex backend workflows like multi-model playgrounds, API key management, pipeline configurators, and real-time observability into fast, intuitive developer tools.
What you will do
- Design and refine developer-facing interfaces, API management portals, multi-model playgrounds, and workflow builders.
- Build and maintain a DevTools-centric design system tailored for code-heavy views, payload inspectors, and complex data displays.
- Translate technical concepts like API rate limits, JSON payloads, evaluation pipelines, and confidence scoring into seamless visual workflows.
- Optimize the developer experience loop from documentation-to-dashboard navigation to instant API key creation and testing.
- Collaborate closely with core backend engineers to turn raw API outputs into clear interactive components.
- Conduct continuous DX feedback sessions with developer users to remove friction in technical onboarding and workflow setup.
- Implement and maintain frontend UI component libraries using clean, performant code in React or Vue with Tailwind.
Requirements
- 4+ years building DevTools, developer platforms, or technical SaaS products as a UX Engineer, DX Designer, or UI-focused Front-End Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with developer workflows such as Git, APIs, CLI, JSON, webhooks, and API gateways.
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks including React, Vue, TypeScript, and component architecture.
- Strong command of Figma, design systems, and translating code structures into clean visual layouts.
- Proven ability to design complex UI structures like log streams, payload visualizers, interactive API playgrounds, and data tables.
- Strong focus on developer experience, speed, ergonomics, and visual clarity.
- Bonus: experience with workflow or node-based UI editors such as React Flow, API clients like Postman or Insomnia, or AI developer SDKs.
